  • When the mainnet starts in September 2026, Uniswap will implement its v4 AMM infrastructure on Circle’s Arc blockchain.
  • Arc developers will have access to configurable v4 hooks and Uniswap liquidity pools thanks to the connection.
  • Arc supports stablecoin-focused transactions by using USDC as its gas token. Arc is built to achieve deterministic finality in less than a second.
  • Swaps, lending, borrowing, yield products, derivatives, and structured products could all be supported by uniswap liquidity on Arc.

Uniswap is going to bring its exchange system to the Circles Arc blockchain when it starts its main network in September 2026. This will add some established finance options to the network that focuses on stablecoins.

According to something that Arc announced on August 17 this will bring the Uniswap version 4s automatic market maker system to Arc. Developers will be able to access liquidity pools and use customizable v4 hooks to build applications around trading and liquidity.

Uniswap v4 Comes To Arc

Through programmable hooks, Uniswap v4 offers developers to modify how liquidity pools function. These hooks can modify activities such as swaps, liquidity management, and fee collection.

Arc said more than 60,000 Uniswap v4 hooks have already been deployed across other blockchain networks. Bringing the infrastructure to Arc could give developers access to a familiar liquidity framework without requiring them to build a new decentralized exchange layer from scratch.

The integration also adds a major DeFi component to Arc ahead of its mainnet launch.

Arc Focuses On Stablecoin-based Transactions

Arc is designed around stablecoin activity and uses USDC as its native gas token. This means users pay transaction fees in USDC rather than a separate network token.

The blockchain is also designed to provide deterministic transaction finality in under one second. These features are part of Arc’s underlying architecture and will apply to Uniswap pools operating on the network.

The combination could make Arc attractive to applications that require predictable settlement and stablecoin-based transactions.

Broader DeFi Applications

Uniswap’s liquidity infrastructure could support more than simple token swaps on Arc. According to Arc, developers could use the liquidity layer for lending and borrowing markets, token issuance, liquidity-provider strategies, yield products, structured products, and derivatives.

However, these remain potential use cases. The Uniswap deployment does not confirm that specific lending or derivatives platforms will launch on Arc.

Building On Circle’s Stablecoin Infrastructure

Arc is being developed around Circle’s broader stablecoin ecosystem, including USDC, EURC, and the Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol (CCTP).

CCTP enables native USDC transfers between supported blockchains without relying on wrapped versions of the stablecoin. This could help developers build applications that combine Arc-based liquidity with cross-chain USDC movement.

The Uniswap deployment follows Circle’s earlier plans for optional confidential transactions on Arc, aimed at institutional use cases such as treasury management, payroll, and trading.
