- After an attacker appeared to generate roughly 4 billion new ONE tokens, Harmony’s ONE token saw a 40% decline.
- A potential three-day chain restructuring for Ravencoin could result in the reversal of some recent transactions.
- After a software bug accepted fraudulent deposits, an XRP bridge lost around 200,000 XRP, or almost $200,000.
- Harmony is requesting that exchanges freeze related funds while working on an emergency repair and potential rollback.
Three crypto projects have faced serious security problems this week, putting tokens, transactions and user funds at risk. Harmony’s ONE token fell about 40% after an attacker appeared to create around 4 billion new tokens.
Ravencoin had a problem with its network. This problem could have made it so that lots of transactions were cancelled. This could have happened to transactions that took place over days. At the time something bad happened to an XRP bridge. The XRP bridge lost a lot. This happened because of a mistake in the software. The software thought that some fake deposits of XRP were deposits of XRP.
Harmony ONE Drops After 4 Billion Tokens Are Created
Harmony confirmed an attack that appears to have created roughly 4 billion ONE tokens, equal to more than a quarter of the network’s previous supply of about 15 billion ONE.
We are working with our team and appropriate exchanges to stop and freeze the funds.
We are working on a patch and rollback options.
Will update when we have new information. https://t.co/XB0nCwTAyN

The token fell around 40% during Asian morning trading on Wednesday. Harmony said it was working with network operators on an emergency software update to stop further unauthorized minting. It also paused its token bridge and asked exchanges to freeze funds linked to four wallet addresses.
The project is also looking at a possible rollback, which would take the blockchain back to a point before the attack. However, this could remove valid transactions made after that point, raising concerns about blockchain immutability.
This is not Harmony’s first token-related security issue. In 2023, a staking bug led to about 146.3 million ONE being created. The network also suffered a major $100 million Horizon bridge attack in 2022.
Ravencoin Transactions Could Be Reversed
Ravencoin also faced a serious network issue after a consensus flaw allowed some nodes to accept invalid blocks.
Ravencoin Network Notice
A critical consensus vulnerability has been demonstrated and exploited on the Ravencoin network.
The issue caused invalid blocks to be accepted by vulnerable nodes. The first known invalid block appeared at height 4,487,776 on 2026-08-07 15:44:01 UTC.…

Mining pools 2Miners and RavenMiner are building a competing chain that removes the affected branch. If their chain becomes dominant, Ravencoin could see a reorganization covering about three days.
The project warned that transactions confirmed after block 4,487,775 could be reversed. Exchanges including Upbit and Bitget suspended RVN deposits and withdrawals while the network situation is being resolved.
XRP Bridge Hacked After Software Mistakes Fake Deposits For Real XRP
Something bad happened to an XRP bridge that is connected to the TX blockchain. It lost a lot of XRP, almost 200,000 XRP, which is worth around $200,000.
An update on the XRPL bridge incident.
On August 9, the tx XRPL bridge was exploited and XRP was drained from the bridge’s reserve wallet on the XRP Ledger. The bridge has been halted, the vulnerability has been identified, and all potential remedies are being evaluated. This…

This problem made the XRP bridge think it was getting XRP when it was not. So the attacker was able to make XRP that was not real. Then take real XRP from the place where the XRP is kept.
After this happened the people in charge of the XRP bridge stopped it from working. The people at TX said they fixed the problem with the software and they hired people who’re good, at looking at blockchain things to help them. They also told the FBI what happened.
