Standard Chartered has started covering Arbitrum’s ARB token with a highly bullish long-term forecast, saying it could reach $10 by the end of 2030. At around $0.14 currently, that would represent roughly a 70-fold increase. The bank’s outlook is partly based on Arbitrum’s growing revenue from companies building their own blockchain networks, with Robinhood Chain emerging as an early example. Standard Chartered believes Arbitrum could benefit as traditional financial firms move stocks and other assets onchain. The bank also sees Arbitrum potentially outperforming Bitcoin and Ether through 2030, although it has highlighted several risks to the forecast.
Geoffrey Kendrick, Standard Chartered’s global head of digital assets research, said Robinhood Chain has already had a significant impact on Arbitrum’s economics. The network helped push Arbitrum’s September revenue towards a monthly run rate of about $5 million, more than five times the level before Robinhood Chain launched in July.
Robinhood Chain is designed to support tokenized stocks and other traditional financial assets. Kendrick said its launch has shown the potential for Arbitrum to become a major choice for traditional financial institutions looking to bring assets onchain.
Under Arbitrum’s current revenue-sharing arrangement, Robinhood Chain contributes 10% of its net protocol revenue to the Arbitrum ecosystem. About 8% goes to the Arbitrum DAO treasury, while another 2% goes to a developer fund. Importantly, ARB token holders do not currently receive this revenue directly.
That is one of the risks behind Standard Chartered’s forecast. Another is that some of Robinhood Chain’s early activity has come from memecoin launchpads and trading applications rather than the traditional financial activity expected to drive the longer-term tokenization story.
Kendrick expects as much as $4 trillion in traditional assets to be tokenized by the end of 2028. If Arbitrum captures a growing share of the infrastructure supporting those assets, the bank believes its economics could improve substantially.
Standard Chartered’s projected path for ARB is $0.50 by the end of 2026, $1.50 in 2027, $3.50 in 2028, $6.50 in 2029 and $10 in 2030.
The bank has also warned that slower-than-expected growth in asset tokenization and stronger competition from other blockchains could weaken the outlook. For now, however, Standard Chartered sees Arbitrum’s role in bringing traditional assets onchain as a potentially important source of growth beyond its existing crypto-native business.
