- Perpetual cryptocurrency futures linked to Bitcoin, Ether, Solana, XRP, and Tron were introduced by Moscow Exchange.
- Only eligible investors can purchase the new contracts, which went into the market on September 22.
- Contracts don’t need the underlying cryptocurrencies to be delivered; instead, they are settled in cash in Russian rubles.
Russia’s Moscow Exchange has expanded its crypto derivatives market with automatically rolling futures linked to Bitcoin, Ether, Solana, XRP and Tron, giving qualified investors a regulated way to gain crypto price exposure without holding the underlying assets.
Moscow Exchange began trading the new contracts on September 22. The instruments are structured as one-day futures with automatic rollover, allowing positions to continue across trading days without a conventional expiration date. The contracts are available only to qualified investors, according to the exchange.

Five Crypto Assets Get New Futures Contracts
The new products track five Moscow Exchange cryptocurrency indices:
- BTCUSDF — Bitcoin
- ETHUSDF — Ether
- SOLUSDF — Solana
- XRPUSDF — XRP
- TRXUSDF — Tron
The contracts are quoted in U.S. dollars against their respective Moscow Exchange crypto indices but are settled in Russian rubles. They do not involve the delivery of the underlying cryptocurrencies.
The exchange’s derivatives listings show BTCUSDF and TRXUSDF entering trading on September 22, with the other contracts also part of the new perpetual futures lineup.
Automatic Rollover Keeps Positions Open
Unlike traditional futures with a fixed expiration date, the new contracts use daily automatic rollover. This structure allows investors to maintain exposure to the referenced crypto index without closing and reopening a position at a conventional contract expiry.
Moscow Exchange has also specified funding parameters for the instruments, including K1 at 0% and K2 at 0.35%. The contracts are settled through the exchange’s derivatives infrastructure rather than through direct cryptocurrency custody.
Moscow Exchange Expands Crypto Derivatives
The launch builds on the exchange’s broader expansion into cryptocurrency-linked products. Moscow Exchange began calculating Solana, XRP, Tron and BNB indices in May 2026, adding to its existing Bitcoin and Ether benchmarks. The new indices are calculated using cryptocurrency market prices and updated every 15 seconds.
Moscow Exchange has subsequently added futures tied to several of those indices, expanding the range of crypto-linked derivatives available through its regulated market infrastructure.
The new contracts give qualified investors access to Bitcoin, Ether, Solana, XRP and Tron price exposure through Moscow Exchange without requiring direct ownership or custody of the tokens.
