World has launched World Money, a self-custodial financial super app that brings together stablecoin payments, digital asset rewards and trading. The rollout began on Thursday across more than 150 countries, although available features will vary by location. Users can send supported digital assets, including stablecoins, to other users through World usernames, earn rewards on eligible assets and buy or sell digital assets through exchanges.
The launch expands World’s effort to build financial services around its existing digital identity and crypto wallet ecosystem. World Money is designed to keep users in control of their assets while bringing several financial functions together in one application.

Users can access a range of Mini Apps within World Money, including Kalshi, Credit and Morpho. The app also has a partnership with Stripe that allows users in the United States to fund their accounts and purchase stablecoins using Apple Pay.
World has been gradually expanding the financial capabilities of its original World App since its launch in May 2023. That app combined World ID with a crypto wallet, stablecoin transfers and digital-asset trading.
In October 2024, World introduced World App 3.0 and described it as a “super app for humans”. The update added third-party Mini Apps and a Vault feature designed to allow users to earn on their assets.
The company continued expanding its financial features in 2025. In November, it began testing virtual bank accounts in the United States. The service was subsequently expanded to additional countries, allowing paychecks and bank deposits to be converted into USDC.
With the launch of World Money, the company is separating identity-related functions from financial services. World ID App will handle identity verification and credentials, while World Money will focus on wallets, payments and other financial features. Existing World App and World ID App users can use their existing accounts with World Money, according to the company.
World Money is operated by Tools for Humanity, the company co-founded by Sam Altman and Alex Blania that develops technology for the World network.
The launch reflects the broader trend of combining stablecoin payments, crypto trading and other financial services within a single application. At the same time, the availability of individual features will depend on the user’s location and the services supported in that market.
For World, the new app represents another step in expanding beyond digital identity into everyday financial activity. Its self-custodial structure also places control of supported digital assets with users rather than the application itself.
