Elon Musk has predicted that xAI’s upcoming Grok 4.7 could outperform all current leading AI models, even as the company has just released Grok 4.6. The comments followed the release of Grok 4.6, which comes just over a month after Grok 4.5. xAI said the new model has been designed for longer-running AI agents, more complex interactive tasks and demanding visual workloads.
According to xAI, Grok 4.6 reaches frontier-level performance on several benchmarks covering agentic coding and knowledge work. The company has also compared the model with competing systems from OpenAI and Anthropic.
One benchmark highlighted in the supplied material is the Artificial Analysis Intelligence Index.
