Tencent Partners With Blockchain Firms
Tencent, the world’s largest internet and technology company, has entered the decentralised Web3 race, announcing partnerships with blockchain companies such as Ankr, Avalanche, Scroll, and Sui.
Tencent Cloud, the Chinese tech giant’s computing subsidiary, has announced that it will actively support the development of Web3 products and contribute to the long-term development of the global Web3 community.
Tencent Cloud announced several collaborations with blockchain companies in its press release, including Ankr, Avalanche, Scroll, and Sui. All collaborations aim to grow and improve the Web3 ecosystems.
The announcement covers three major areas in which Tencent Cloud intends to focus its targeted partnerships for Web3 expansion.
Tencent Cloud has signed a collaboration agreement with Ankr, a decentralised blockchain infrastructure provider. They will collaborate to create a set of blockchain API services for remote procedure call nodes.
According to the release, the product will be deployed on Tencent Cloud’s infrastructure. Tencent states that it will connect to mainstream blockchains through Web 3.0 games and applications.
Tencent will collaborate with Avalanche, Scroll, and Sui as part of this agreement to accelerate the adoption of Web3 applications. Tencent Cloud will collaborate with Avalanche to provide developers with efficient and quick node configurations.
The timing of Tencent’s announcement is significant, given the growing interest of tech titans in Web3 – the next generation of the web that will be decentralised and blockchain-powered.
In the last week, Microsoft and Google have also made significant moves for Web3 developments, marked by their partnerships with Ankr and Tezos Foundation, respectively.
