Dinari, a fintech firm building blockchain infrastructure for tokenized securities, has launched a new way for eligible U.S. investors and businesses to buy and sell tokenized U.S. stocks using USDC through self-custody wallets.

According to an official release, the business has collaborated with Circle to make more than 700 tokenized stocks, including the complete S&P 500, available across certified blockchain networks.

By allowing investors to trade tokenized copies of U.S. equities using self-custody wallets and the USDC stablecoin without exclusively depending on conventional brokerage platforms, the launch seeks to integrate blockchain-based digital assets with conventional equity markets.

Dinari’s tokenized stocks, or dShares, are introduced during the debut. According to Dinari, every dShare is backed by an actual stock that is held through qualified custody, which means that each token is connected to a real underlying security rather than just tracking a stock’s price.

The corporation claims that the structure is intended to preserve significant aspects of traditional stock ownership, such as ownership of the underpinning asset, dividends, voting rights, and corporate activities.

Dinari CEO and co-founder Gabriel Otte said the launch brings together two financial systems that have usually operated separately. “For decades, investing and digital assets have existed in separate financial systems,” Otte added. “This launch unites them, enabling investors to switch between U.S. stocks and stablecoins with ease while maintaining the safeguards of conventional capital markets.”

Tokenized versions of S&P 500 companies are available to qualified U.S. investors via the Dinari Trading App and its launch partners. The platform currently supports several blockchain networks, including Avalanche, Arbitrum, Base, and Ethereum Mainnet.

Dinari also introduced USDC dividend support, allowing eligible investors to receive dividend payments directly in USDC. According to the business, this functionality enables investors to save their money onchain and perhaps utilize it in other financial apps that are compatible.

The announcement coincides with ongoing research into tokenizing real-world assets by both established financial institutions and cryptocurrency companies.

A day ago, BlackRock expanded its blockchain activities through tokenized money market products, while companies such as JPMorgan and Goldman Sachs continue developing blockchain-based financial solutions.

Additionally, production trades involving tokenized assets, including as equities and U.S. Treasuries, were recently conducted by the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC). BlackRock, Circle, Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan, and Nasdaq were among the more than thirty businesses participated in the study.

The market for tokenized securities is still in its infancy despite increasing acceptance. Dinari cautioned that laws pertaining to tokenized securities and digital assets are evolving and may have an impact on how these products function going forward.

Additionally, the business stated that tokenized marketplaces can have low liquidity, making it more difficult for investors to sell assets at the time or price they choose. According to Dinari, the launch expands on its earlier work with tokenized stocks. In more than 85 countries, the business has already distributed dShares via fintech firms, exchanges, neobanks, and Web3 platforms.
