Perpetuals.com is set to offer tokenized US stocks over its platform, as the company announced its intentions on October 14, 2026. Perpetuals plans to use the framework of a new five-year Innovation Exemption introduced by the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The new services could enable Perpetuals’ stock-tokenization business to enter the US market, however, the company has yet to launch.
Perpetuals is one of the first companies moving to offer tokenized U.S. equities under the SEC’s Innovation Exemption framework.
For Perpetuals, this builds on a long history in tokenization.
Our company’s founding team helped create the world’s first regulatory-approved tokenized stocks in 2021, enabling 24/7 stock trading across major global platforms.

Tokenized stocks are digital assets, which are designed to represent rights or shares associated with stocks. Depending on the particular design and terms, the tokens can enable investors to make gains from the performance of the underlying shares via blockchain technology. However, the rights of the tokenized instruments can vary significantly, meaning investors should be aware of the particular characteristics of the assets they are considering.
The regulator unveiled the framework of an Innovation Exemption on September 17, 2026. According to the conditions, eligible trading venues dealing with specific types of tokenized securities can apply for conditional exemptions from a set of regulatory requirements. The companies must implement a series of conditions, which include publishing notices of their intention and conducting the necessary transaction transparency, recordkeeping and technology-related controls.
Perpetuals has published a notice of its intention to use the exemption. The proposed services must satisfy the relevant requirements in order to qualify for the exemption, including a 30-day notice period.
Perpetuals reported that the company’s founding team had launched tokenized stock products in 2021. The offerings enabled exchanges such as Binance, FTX and Bittrex to provide trading functionalities, which were linked to stocks. The same team had developed pre-IPO contracts associated with companies such as Coinbase, Airbnb and Robinhood.
In addition, Perpetuals announced a separate announcement of an agreement to tokenize more than $300 million worth of physical commodities. However, the company has yet to report whether the project is related to its planned launch of the services to offer tokenized US stocks.
On October 8, Securitize announced the launch of tokenized US stock entitlements on Solana for eligible investors in permitted jurisdictions. The initial offerings have included shares associated with companies such as Apple, Microsoft, Nvidia and Tesla.
Perpetuals suggested that the use of tokenized equities could enable extended trading hours, fractional ownership and faster settlement. In addition, the company estimated that investors would be able to retain voting and dividend rights associated with the underlying shares. However, Perpetuals has yet to explain how its proposed service would maintain the shares or the associated rights.
