BingX EU, the European entity of crypto exchange BingX has been granted the European Union’s Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA) by the Austrian Financial Market Authority (FMA).

The announcement was made public on October 14, 2026, highlighting the company’s intention to provide crypto services in the EEA countries. The services to be offered by the exchange include crypto custody solutions, exchange, and brokerage. However, the company must meet the required regulations to provide the services in each territory, and BingX has not disclosed when the offerings will be available.
The entity responsible for BingX EU is MEGE zweite GmbH, also based in Vienna, Austria. It announced its intention to collaborate with the Austrian FMA and other European regulators as it prepares to enter the market.
MiCA is a European Union regulation concerning crypto assets, which establishes rules for crypto-asset service providers in the EEA. According to the new rules, a crypto-asset services provider that has been granted authorization may use the “passporting” procedure to operate in any EEA state.
Daniel Lai, the CEO of BingX EU, expressed his enthusiasm at the prospect of delivering a locally regulated trading environment for the European users. He further emphasizes the company’s focus on security, transparency, and accountability.
This approval comes a few months after the company announced the next step in its regulatory journey. Specifically, in June 2026, BingX EU noted that its application for MiCA compliance had entered the final stages of the review process. Furthermore, the new rules applied to crypto businesses, and as of July 1, 2026, the transitional measures under MiCA expired, meaning that non-compliant crypto firms can no longer serve EU clients. Several states had already terminated the transitional regimes before the end of July.
Notably, other crypto entities have also received regulatory approval in Europe, but each was only cleared for specific operations. For instance, BNY has expanded its institutional custody business to serve European crypto custodians. At the same time, Ripple has gained regulatory approval to provide banking-as-a-service solutions to its clients in the EEA.
Despite the significance of the approval received by BingX EU, the company’s application does not imply that its services will be available in the 29 EEA countries. Interested parties, therefore, have to wait until the company releases more information on the expected launch date, the list of services to be offered in each country, and the target regions.
