Webull is expanding cryptocurrency trading into Canada through a partnership with Coinbase, adding digital assets to its Canadian brokerage platform. The move brings Webull’s crypto offering to another major market after the company launched cryptocurrency services in the United States, Australia and Brazil.
Coinbase will provide the underlying trading and custody infrastructure through its Crypto-as-a-Service platform, allowing Canadian customers to access cryptocurrencies alongside stocks, ETFs and options.
Webull announced the expansion on Monday as demand for digital assets continues to grow in Canada. Its Canadian website currently lists 10 cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Ether and Solana, while indicating that additional assets are also available.
The addition gives Canadian retail investors a broader range of products through the same brokerage platform. Instead of having to use a separate crypto exchange, customers can access digital assets alongside more traditional investments.

Coinbase’s infrastructure will handle the core crypto services behind the offering. The partnership allows Webull to expand into the market without having to build its own trading and custody systems from scratch.
Webull pointed to rising cryptocurrency adoption in Canada as one reason for the move. The business used data from the Ontario Securities Commission that indicated ownership of digital assets had risen from 10% in 2023 to 25% in 2026.
The expansion also comes as Canadian authorities work on clearer rules for the digital-asset sector. The country does not yet have comprehensive regulations covering fiat-backed stablecoins, but the proposed Stablecoin Act would establish requirements for both domestic and foreign issuers.
Canada’s approach is part of a broader effort to bring crypto activity within a clearer regulatory framework while allowing consumers to access digital assets through regulated financial businesses.
For Webull, adding crypto strengthens its position as a one-stop platform for retail investors. The company can now offer Canadian customers a mix of traditional financial products and digital assets under the same roof.
The partnership also demonstrates how well-known cryptocurrency infrastructure firms like Coinbase are increasingly assisting conventional brokerages in breaking into the digital asset industry.
These kinds of agreements may become more prevalent as more investors want to hold equities and cryptocurrencies on the same platform. Webull’s Canadian expansion therefore marks another step in the gradual integration of crypto into mainstream retail investing.
