Turkish ‘Magnificent Century’ Enters Metaverse
The hit Turkish series, produced by Tims Productions founder Timur Savci and broadcast in over 140 countries since its debut in 2021, is based on the life of the tenth Ottoman Sultan, Suleiman the Magnificent, and his wife Sultana Hurrem, a slave who rose to become a queen.
The show has collaborated with metaverse platform The Sandbox to allow viewers to virtually explore the show’s locations while transforming its characters into digital avatars. A “number of events” are also planned to take place on the platform centred on the show.
In addition, the Sandbox will create NFT and avatar collections based on Magnificent Century for fans to customise their digital characters.
