The Smarter Web Company, a publicly traded company with headquarters in the UK, has taken another big step in its Bitcoin strategy by paying about £593,000 for an additional 11 Bitcoin (BTC).
With this most recent acquisition, which cost an average of £82,437 per Bitcoin, the company’s total Bitcoin holdings now stand at 2,706 BTC.
This move demonstrates the company’s dedication to its long-term treasury strategy of building up Bitcoin as part of its “10-Year Plan”. The purchase statement, which was also verified on X, outlined the company’s ongoing investment strategy and emphasised that Bitcoin is still its main store of value.
The management of Smarter Web Company feels that the potential of Bitcoin exceeds the risks involved, despite its volatility.
Since it began taking Bitcoin payments in 2022, Smarter Web Company has been making Bitcoin purchases. The company has been adding Bitcoin to its assets in a cautious approach in the hopes of benefiting from the chances that Bitcoin would present in the future. The company is now the largest corporate Bitcoin owner in the UK thanks to this campaign.
Besides purchasing Bitcoin, Smarter Web Company’s treasury management plan also entails investing in other areas, such as buying Bitcoin with funds acquired through equity and other funding sources, such as strategic finance for acquisitions.
In addition to Bitcoin, Smarter Web Company makes money from hosting fees, marketing subscription fees and service costs.
