The scheme, which aims to drive economic progression and foster AI, will award N5 million each to 45 researchers and start-ups with a vision of AI advancement. The Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, Bosun Tijani, announced that the funding will be equivalent to $6,444, aiming to create a sustainable AI ecosystem in Nigeria. The initiative has gained attention among crypto enthusiasts worldwide.

The Nigerian government is inviting applications for a scheme aimed at fostering a vibrant and sustainable AI ecosystem in the country. The scheme, which will be open from October 13 to November 15, 2023, will provide financial support and facilitate knowledge sharing among AI industry professionals.
