In the mesmerising landscapes of Saudi Arabia, Neom, a new urban area planned by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is being built in its northwestern Tabuk Province. Well, NEOM is a $500 billion mega-project in Saudi Arabia, and Aquellum is the latest addition to Neom’s continuous regional development in northwest Saudi Arabia. The eye-catching new project is quietly nestled amid the 450-meter-high mountain range along the Gulf of Aqaba coastline, revealing an immersive and subterranean digitalized community, subsumed in the Metaverse.
Far from traditional, the attraction combines modern technology and forward-thinking concepts, providing visitors a glimpse into the future. Tobias Wallisser, a Berlin-based architect and Professor of Innovative Construction and Spatial Concepts, conceptualised it as an ultra-luxury upside-down skyscraper since the facade faces internally rather than outwards.
Visitors begin on a one-of-a-kind voyage to reach this subterranean wonder, boarding a specially designed vessel at the world’s first floating Marina. A hidden underground canal leads them through a maze of secrets before revealing the immersive Aquellum.
The environment morphs into a thrilling experience once inside. From the ocean to the sky, a spectacular courtyard connects hotel rooms, apartments, retail areas, and creative hubs connecting various social areas, a research lab, immersive arts, events, shopping, and restaurants.
Well, metaverse is creating magic in every sector and the music industry is no exception.
Soundscape, a Denver based musical metaverse project, has unveiled an updated version of its musical metaverse that allows fans to enjoy virtual performances from musicians and DJs.
The updated version of its metaverse offers improved graphics and play mechanics built on Unreal Engine 5, a powerful 3D computer graphics engine used in the construction of video games and movies.
A number of well-known artists, including Deadmau5 and Slash, have collaborated with Soundscape to perform in the metaverse.
