Hong Kong is set to list its second Solana spot exchange-traded fund (ETF) on October 13. Asset manager Pando will launch a fund on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange which will enable investors to gain exposure to Solana (SOL) without having to purchase the cryptocurrency directly. It will charge an annual management fee of 0.6%, compared to the 0.99% charged by Hong Kong’s existing Solana ETF. A lot of 100 shares will cost up to HK$800 at the top end of the expected price range, before transaction charges.

According to the Hong Kong Economic Journal, the Pando Solana ETF will trade under the code 02831. Subscription will be open until October 12, and the expected price per share is HK$7.80 to HK$8.
It will follow the CME Group CF Solana US Dollar Index and use its Asia-Pacific closing price as a reference rate. The fund will be able to invest up to 100% of its net assets in SOL, with up to 3% held in cash for expenses and other purposes.
Pando will use HashKey Exchange for Solana transactions, and HashKey Custody Services will safeguard the fund’s crypto assets. The ETF will not stake its Solana holdings or use borrowed funds and financial derivatives to boost returns.
Its launch will provide investors with an additional avenue of gaining exposure to the price movement of Solana. However, the fund will not pay dividends, and investors will still run the risk associated with the fluctuation of SOL’s price.
Hong Kong’s first Solana spot ETF, offered by ChinaAMC, began its trade in October 2025. It is available in Hong Kong dollars, Chinese yuan and US dollars, and charges an annual management fee of 0.99%, with an estimated total annual expense ratio of 1.99%. Pando’s cheaper fees could provide an alternative option for investors considering both of the similar products.
Solana is a blockchain network launched in 2020. It is known for its quick processing transactions and low costs. Its SOL token is used to pay transaction fees and participate in certain activities, such as staking.
Although ETFs are a more straightforward way to invest in cryptocurrencies, they are not without risk. The price of Solana can plummet during a market correction, and an investor can lose their entire investment. Investors should, therefore, consider the fees, the fund’s performance and the risks of investing in the cryptocurrency before making a decision.
