ETH’s Liquid Staking Protocols Surpasses $27 bn
Over the past six months, the Ethereum ecosystem has seen significant growth in liquid staking protocols, with 12.31 million ETH locked in as of January 6, 2024.
This represents a significant increase from 10.16 million in July 2023, resulting in a value growth of $27.49 billion. Lido Finance, a leading player in this domain, has amassed 1.7 million ETH since July 2023, holding over 75% of the total deposited Ethereum.
Other notable shifts include Lido’s 21.16% increase in Ethereum reserves, Rocket Pool’s growth from 810,502 ETH to 1.09 million, and Binance’s exponential increase in Ethereum holdings.
The addition of 2.15 million ETH, valued at $4.83 billion, across the top 27 liquid staking protocols indicates a strong interest in Ethereum-based liquid staking, highlighting the increasing trust and participation in the network’s staking mechanisms.
