  • MEXC will stop services for users in Russia and Belarus as part of its compliance efforts.
  • Affected users in Russia and Belarus must close positions. Withdraw crypto assets before their individual deadlines.
  • MEXC will notify customers through registered emails. In‑app messages.

MEXC, the crypto exchange, will stop providing services to users in Russia and Belarus. MEXC asks those affected in Russia and Belarus to close any positions and to withdraw all their assets before the deadlines set by MEXC for each account.

MEXC announced this decision on October 20, 2026. MEXC says this move is part of its effort to strengthen global compliance. MEXC has not revealed how many accounts will be affected. MEXC has also not given a date for when the service will stop.

MEXC Sets Individual Deadlines For Affected Users

According to its official announcement, MEXC will notify affected customers through their registered email addresses and in-app messages. The notifications will explain the applicable deadlines and procedures for closing positions and withdrawing assets.

Users who have not received a notification are not affected at this time and can continue using the platform under the current terms of service. MEXC has told customers to follow the instructions in their notices and finish any needed withdrawals before the deadline.

No Specific Regulatory Trigger Disclosed

MEXC did not cite any regulator, sanctions, or licensing action that led to the move. Instead, the announcement centered on compliance. Explained what steps the customers involved need to follow.

However, the exchange’s user agreement, updated on October 13, includes Russia and Belarus as prohibited jurisdictions. The agreement clearly states that the platform does not offer services to people living in these countries and will not accept their registration or trading applications.

The recent announcement describes how accounts will be handled, but does not say if more restrictions are coming.

MEXC Warns Users About Phishing Attempts

The exchange said users’ assets remain safe. It told customers with questions about withdrawals or account status to call the customer support team.

The decision follows a similar announcement from Bitget on October 17. The exchange said it would discontinue services for certain users, with individual notifications outlining account-specific deadlines and withdrawal arrangements.

Meanwhile, Belarus banned citizens from accessing foreign crypto exchanges in December 2025. South Korea also announced restrictions targeting 27 websites operated by unregistered crypto businesses on October 13, including platforms operated by MEXC, KuCoin and BingX.
