Spain have won the FIFA World Cup as the team defeated Argentina in the final game winning the cup while Canadian rapper Drake has lost his $1.5M USDT bet put on Argentina winning the FIFA World Cup using Stake crypto betting platform.

Prior to the match, Drake had posted his betting slip in his Instagram profile and showed the odds of 3.45 meaning he would have won an approximate of $5.175M had Argentina won the game.

This story once again triggered the discussion on the so-called “Drake curse” where the followers keep joking that whenever any team or athlete is supported by Drake, there are no chances that they will win.

In addition to the sporting event, the crypto community also paid some attention to the wager as Tether CEO, Paolo Ardoino, commented on this issue on X.
