Crypto Exchange Dasset Enters Liquidation

Dasset, a cryptocurrency exchange with its headquarters in Auckland, New Zealand, has started to liquidate, and its users have been denied access to their cash.

The Herald, a local news source, covered the exchange’s issues on August 14. The report claims that some consumers have sought unsuccessfully to withdraw their money for months.

The company’s CEO, Stephen Macaskill, told reporters that after its previous provider quit collaborating with the exchange in January 2023, Dasset was unable to find a new banking partner. Dasset accounts may still be created, and neither the company’s official X nor Instagram pages mentioned any news of liquidation.

The statement concerning the closure of the exchange is now found on the page of the law firm Grant Thornton, which was previously linked to from Dasset’s official website. The business was chosen to serve as liquidator.
