Crypto.com has launched OG, a standalone prediction market app in the United States, separating the fast-growing business from its main platform.

OG is powered by Crypto.com Derivatives North America, a regulated exchange overseen by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. For now, access is limited to US users.

CEO Kris Marszalek said prediction markets on Crypto.com have grown 40 times weekly over the past six months, making a dedicated platform necessary. OG has direct competition with players like Polymarket and Kalshi.

Users trade contracts on the prediction market based on real-world outcomes, from elections to economic events. There is an explosive growth of the market, with monthly volumes jumping sharply since 2024.

But competition is heating up. Coinbase has recently partnered with Kalshi, while other crypto-native platforms are exploring similar products.

Wall Street is also showing interest in event-based contracts, and OG’s launch highlights how prediction markets are moving beyond niche crypto use cases into mainstream financial tools.
