- CoinDCX launched the “Satark Rahe” cyber safety awareness campaign in collaboration with I4C and the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).
- The tagline “Brake Lagao” and the imaginary character Satark are used in the campaign to urge consumers to confirm transactions and communications before acting.
- Satark Rahe is a part of CoinDCX’s ₹100 crore Digital Suraksha Network (DSN) project, which aims to increase cybersecurity awareness and fight digital fraud.
One of the leading cryptocurrency exchanges in India, CoinDCX, has teamed up with the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C) to start a cyber safety awareness campaign dubbed “Satark Rahe.”
This month’s Cyber Jaagrookta Diwas, a global event observed on the first Wednesday of each month under the I4C, coincided with the campaign’s launch on June 3. The program’s goal is to raise national awareness of cybercrime and digital safety, especially via social media.
“Satark Rahe” Simplifies Cyber Safety Awareness
CoinDCX claims that “Satark Rahe”, a fictional character, is used in the campaign to convey its message. The goal is to deconstruct typical online fraud into straightforward, relevant situations that people face on a daily basis. Instead of using traditional awareness content, the style emphasizes conversational storytelling across social media platforms.

“Brake Lagao” is the campaign’s main slogan, which translates to a simple behavioral prompt: take a moment before responding to any unknown communication, establish the legitimacy of the request or transaction, and check the source.
The strategy of the campaign was recognized by Shri Nishant Kumar, Director of the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Center (I4C), Ministry of Home Affairs. He claimed that fresh and advanced techniques are always being used by cybercriminals to target gullible people.
CoinDCX & I4C Unite Against Cybercrime
“I4C has consistently emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts involving government, industry, and civil society to build a cyber-aware nation,” Shri Nishant Kumar pointed out.
Through simple, accessible, and captivating formats, initiatives like Satark Rahe can significantly contribute to spreading cyber safety messages to a larger audience.
Echoing a similar view, Sumit Gupta, Co-Founder of CoinDCX, said, the Digital Suraksha Network was inspired by the idea that awareness is still one of the most crucial tools in the fight against digital fraud.
He pointed out that government and business must collaborate to educate and empower citizens because cybercrime is a problem that no one organization can handle on its own.
The project comes after the company’s ₹100 crore Digital Suraksha Network (DSN), which was launched in March 2026 to improve fraud awareness and digital security.
CoinDCX Identifies 1,200+ Fake Websites
CoinDCX delivered blockchain forensics training at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy and worked with the Goa Police on the Cyber Surakshit Goem campaign as part of the DSN.
It collaborated extensively on cybersecurity projects with I4C. Additionally, the exchange stated that between April 2024 and January 2026, it discovered over 1,200 phony websites that were posing as its brand.
The start of CoinDCX’s Satark Rahe campaign coincides with India’s growing concerns about cybercrime. Data from the Ministry of Home Affairs shows that there were 28.15 lakh cybercrime complaints in 2025, with ₹22,495 crore in losses.
Over ₹8,031 crore worth of fraudulent transactions have been stopped by the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C), which has also identified millions of suspect identities and mule accounts. Under its Digital Suraksha Network, CoinDCX intends to promote cyber awareness via digital platforms.
