On Monday, BlackRock Canada introduced two exchange-traded funds, one of which is a portfolio that includes 3% Bitcoin and internationally diversified stocks.
The iShares Core MSCI All-International Equity Index ETF (XINT) and iShares Equity + Bitcoin ETF Portfolio (IBQT) are the two funds that started trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange.

3% of IBQT’s portfolio is invested in Bitcoin (BTC) thru BlackRock’s Canadian iShares Bitcoin ETF (IBIT), which is traded on Cboe Canada. The remaining 97% of the portfolio is made up of Canadian, US, foreign, and emerging-market stocks. IBQT mostly owns other iShares ETFs to give its equity and Bitcoin exposure rather than investing in individual equities.
With exposure to over 5,000 firms in up to 40 established and emerging nations outside of the US and Canada, XINT tracks the MSCI ACWI ex North America IMI Index.
BlackRock Asset Management Canada oversees both products under the RBC iShares partnership. As of June 30, BlackRock said that its iShares division was in charge of over 1,700 ETFs with over $6.2 trillion in assets.
With over $47.9 billion in assets under management, the asset management company’s US-listed iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) is the biggest US spot Bitcoin ETF, according to CoinMarketCap statistics.
