BBVA Switzerland Strengthen Digital Asset Services

Swiss private bank BBVA Switzerland has expanded its partnership with Ripple-owned Metaco to strengthen its digital asset offerings.

The move aims to position BBVA at the forefront of digital asset services, leveraging Metaco’s advanced technology.

The partnership, characterized by speed, efficiency, and top-tier governance, will cater to the evolving needs of institutional clients in the digital assets landscape.

BBVA, the first Eurozone tier-1 bank to provide cryptocurrency services to individual clients, is migrating its digital asset operations to Metaco’s Harmonie platform, delivered through a SaaS model.

CEO Alfonso Gomez emphasized the transformative impact of the alliance and emphasized the importance of delivering secure and compliant infrastructure.

Metaco, now under Ripple’s umbrella, is emerging as a key player in digital asset custody and tokenization.

BBVA’s transition to Metaco’s Harmonie platform echoes recent collaborations with global giants like HSBC.
