26% Indian Firms Prepared To Deploy, Leverage AI

A survey by Cisco has revealed that only 23% of companies in the Asia Pacific Japan and China (APJC) region believe that AI will create new revenue streams.

The top three areas where businesses are considering AI are IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and customer experience. The survey also revealed that only 26% of Indian enterprises are fully prepared to deploy and use AI.

The majority of companies admitted concerns about cybersecurity, governance, and the impact of AI on their business in the next year.

The survey surveyed over 8,000 global companies across 30 markets and considered scores on six major categories of AI readiness: strategy, infrastructure, data, governance, and talent.

The survey found that companies face the most challenges when leveraging AI alongside their data. While 93% of respondents believe AI will significantly impact their business operations, it also raises new issues around data privacy and security, with 73% of respondents citing data silos across their organizations.
