Crypto custody startup BitGo is aiming for a valuation of nearly $2 billion as it moves forward with plans for a U.S. initial public offering. The company announced that it plans to raise approximately $201 million through the IPO, reflecting growing investor confidence in crypto infrastructure firms as institutional adoption of digital assets continues to expand. The public listing would make BitGo one of the few major crypto custody providers to enter traditional equity markets.
Founded in 2013, BitGo has built a strong reputation in the digital asset industry by providing custody, staking, and infrastructure services for institutional clients. The company reportedly secures over $100 billion in digital assets and processes a significant portion of global Bitcoin transactions by value. Industry analysts believe BitGo’s IPO could signal renewed momentum for crypto-related public listings following increased regulatory clarity and improving market conditions.
The IPO plans also highlight the rising demand for institutional-grade crypto custody solutions as banks, asset managers, and corporations continue entering the digital asset space. BitGo CEO Mike Belshe stated that the company aims to strengthen its position as a trusted infrastructure provider for the evolving crypto economy. Market observers view the listing as another sign of the growing integration between traditional finance and the cryptocurrency industry.
