NFT Sales On Bitcoin Hit Record In December 2023
In December 2023, non-fungible tokens (NFTs) on the Bitcoin (BTC) network sold $881 million, setting a single-month record. A record 111,713 buyer addresses participated in NFT transactions, while 98,744 merchant addresses participated in the same month. The total sales of NFT Ethereum (ETH) reached $364.79 million, with BTC-focused NFTs outpacing ETH sales by 2.34 times.
The most valuable NFT transaction was a digital copy of Vincent Van Gogh’s self-portrait, which sold for $1.19 million. Ethereum also held a sale of the Frxethredemption Ticket #33 token, priced at $638,433.
