Indians Believe AI Will Help Improve Productivity
A PwC survey reveals that 51% of Indians believe Artificial Intelligence (AI) will improve productivity at work, higher than the global average of 31%. The survey also revealed that 62% of Indians believe the skills required for their jobs will change significantly over the next five years, compared to 36% globally. 69% of these Indians are aware of these changes.
However, 24% of Indians believe AI will negatively impact their work, while 21% believe AI will take over their jobs. The Indian workforce is also restless, with 42% of employees likely to change jobs in the next year due to expectations of better pay packages and promotions. 70% of Indian participants are willing to ask for a promotion, compared to 35% of their global counterparts. The survey also found that managers and senior executives will need attention, despite the focus on the younger generation.
