Nicki Minaj Enters Roblox To Promote Pink Friday 2
The “Queen of Rap” and music icon Nicki Minaj has made her metaverse debut with the opening of “Nicki Minaj’s Gag City,” her first virtual store on Roblox. Nicki Minaj’s virtual shop, Gag City, was launched on December 8th.
Minaj’s new album, Pink Friday 2, is being released at the same time as the immersive 3D shopping experience, which was made in association with Republic Records and metaverse studio Karta.
Fans engaged with Nicki Minaj’s songs and buy special digital goods at the virtual store. In addition to digital goods influenced by the artist’s most recent album and memorable career highlights, users perused a 3D shopping experience to purchase special emotes, which are emotive character movements for Roblox avatars.
