Dogecoin Dev Warns on Rising X, Telegram Hacks
Misha Boar, a core developer and chair of the Dogecoin Foundation, has counseled novice cryptocurrency investors to never divulge personal information to unidentified influencers. This occurs in the midst of an increase in Discord, Telegram, and Twitter bot usage. A few phony accounts have amassed thousands of followers and a verified mark before releasing phony airdrops.
Boar was the target of an impersonation scam in which the developer was impersonated by a Twitter account with almost 2,000 followers. Boar criticized Twitter’s customer service for their lack of action in response.
The amount of active Dogecoin wallet addresses is increasing quickly, as evidenced by the most recent on-chain data, which recently reached 168,000—a 100% increase from March 2022.
