OSL Owner Secure $90 mn Investment

BC Technology Group, the operator of Hong Kong’s OSL cryptocurrency exchange, has announced a significant investment from BGX.

The two companies have entered into a partnership, with BGX agreeing to subscribe for shares in BC Technology for approximately 710 million Hong Kong dollars which is $90.1 million.

The investment is subject to shareholder approval and is a testament to OSL’s commitment to digital asset security, compliance, and technological innovation.

OSL was one of the first crypto exchanges to acquire a Hong Kong crypto license in 2023. The announcement comes after BC Technology halted trading OSL shares on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

An unconfirmed report suggests that OSL was acquired by or received investment from Bitget, an exchange that officially announced its departure from the Hong Kong market on November 13. BC Technology has reportedly considered selling the OSL exchange for $1 billion Hong Kong dollars $128 million.

BGX, a crypto group, aims to offer an innovative platform for institutional and retail investors to seek investment opportunities in crypto.
