ICP Launches Portugal Hub To Web3 Adoption
The Internet Computer (ICP), a decentralized and censorship-resistant platform, is launching a Portugal Hub to accelerate the adoption of Web3.
ICP is a third-generation blockchain and cloud 3.0 that can host and compute various applications on a decentralized framework.
It uses a novel consensus mechanism Proof-of-Useful-Work and features advanced smart contracts called canister smart contracts. These smart contracts host computation capabilities and act as data storage servers in the cloud.
The ICP.Hub in Portugal aims to create an environment that supports developers and projects building on the Internet Computer, supported by DFINITY. The hub will provide a platform for developers, entrepreneurs, and innovators to collaborate and create decentralized applications that leverage ICP’s capabilities.
By fostering a community-driven ecosystem, the ICP.Hub aims to accelerate the development and deployment of Web3 applications while facilitating knowledge sharing and skill development through in-person workshops in Lisbon.
