Foxconn, Nvidia Say They Are Building AI Factories

Taiwan’s Foxconn and Nvidia are partnering to create artificial intelligence data factories using Nvidia chips and software for self-driving cars. The AI factories will produce intelligence as output, taking data input and producing intelligence as output. The end-to-end AI system for autonomous electric vehicles will be developed by the AI factory, which will improve the car’s software. The data collected will be sent to the AI factory, which will then update the entire AI fleet. This end-to-end system will be used in every company and industry in the future. The AI factory will develop the car’s software, while the EV fleet will be updated by the AI factory.

Nvidia’s shares have tripled in 2023, reaching a market value of over $1 trillion. The company’s chips are crucial in AI applications, and Foxconn, the main supplier for Apple’s iPhones, aims to replicate its success in assembling personal computers and smartphones. Foxconn is converting itself from a manufacturing service company to a platform solution company, focusing on smart cities and smart manufacturing applications. The company is now able to understand what can power and make these smart platforms happen.
