Coinbase Registers With Central Bank Of Spain

Crypto exchange Coinbase has registered with Spain’s central bank to provide exchange and custody services, the company announced on 25^th Sept.

Offering crypto-related services requires registration with the Bank of Spain, and registered businesses are subject to the nation’s anti-money laundering regulations.

Although Spain does not currently have a licensing system for cryptocurrency businesses, it will be compelled to do so in 2024 when the recently finalized MiCA regulation for cryptocurrency issuers and service providers comes into force.
