YouTube is launching a new mobile app called YouTube Create to streamline the video production process for first-time creators. The free app aims to make video creation simpler and easier for both shorts and longer videos, allowing creators to focus on creatively rewarding tasks. The company announced at the Made on YouTube event that the app will allow anyone to create and share videos directly on YouTube.
YouTube has launched a new AI-powered app, incorporating features like precision editing, automatic captioning, voiceover, and transitions. The app also offers royalty-free music with beat-matching technology, similar to TikTok. Feedback from around 3,000 creators was used to design the app, which promises to add new features over time. YouTube is also testing an experimental feature called Dream Screen, allowing creators to add AI-generated video or image backgrounds to their Shorts.
