Metaverse Shopping Gains Traction In The UK
A recent study provided light on UK consumers’ impressions of new digital ideas like non-fungible tokens and the metaverse itself by revealing the growing popularity of the metaverse among UK consumers. Over 10,500 people who were at least 18 years old participated in the study across 19 different international markets.
A startling 82% of UK respondents know what the metaverse is currently, and 32% of them show a profound comprehension of what it means. Shopping is the most popular activity in this virtual world, attracting 43% of British people, with watching TV and films coming in second with 40%.
UK respondents show a significant interest in gaming and learning, with 33% and 32% of them using Roblox as their preferred platform for exploring the metaverse. 54% of those who have used it have used it, highlighting the importance of staying informed about consumer sentiment. However, 27% of Brits express curiosity about the metaverse, and 32% express concerns about privacy issues.
