According to agency filings on Thursday, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has postponed making a decision on all spot bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF) applications until October. The applicants include BlackRock, WisdomTree, Invesco Galaxy, Wise Origin, VanEck, Bitwise, and Valkyrie Digital Assets.
The SEC started analyzing the most recent batch of applications last month from traditional and crypto-focused financial institutions like Wise Origin (Fidelity), BlackRock, and Invesco Galaxy.

At a congressional hearing in Brazil, retired professional soccer player Ronaldinho Gaucho debunked claims that he was involved in a $61 million cryptocurrency pyramid scam.
On August 31, Ronaldinho testified before a parliamentary committee inquiry, denying any involvement in the “18kRonaldinho” scam, which guaranteed 2% daily profits on cryptocurrencies. The company was the target of a lawsuit with a $61 million damage cap.
Ronaldinho said that he was also a victim of the alleged fraud because he was never associated with the firm and that it utilized his name and picture without his consent.
