Google Adds AI-Based Search Feature In India
Artificial intelligence (AI) has gained prominence in recent months, using generative models to generate text, images, and media. Google has integrated AI into its Search feature, using deep-learning models to identify patterns and structures in data. Generative AI provides contextual content and text-based search results in the form of videos and images, improving user understanding.
Google has introduced generative AI to its Search tool for users in India and Japan, allowing users to view text or visual results in local languages.
This generative AI will help users understand topics faster, uncover new viewpoints, and complete tasks more easily. The short videos and images on the search result page will be based on conversational patterns, covering specific aspects of the topic. For example, if a user asks a question about a beginner trek in Himachal, generative AI will help break down the topic faster. The AI-powered Search will provide an overview of key information, with links to further explore. Users can switch from English to Hindi by tapping the language toggle button and read out results using a text-to-speech feature.
