Checkout.com Ends Partnership With Binance

Due to concerns about money laundering and compliance, the London-based payment processor Checkout.com has ended its relationship with Binance, one of the biggest cryptocurrency exchanges on the planet. The well-known London-based credit card processor Checkout.com abruptly ended its business partnership with Binance, the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange. This choice was made after several letters were exchanged between the two businesses.

Checkout CEO Guillaume Pousaz announced plans to sever ties with Binance on August 9-11 due to regulator actions and inquiries from partners. A follow-up letter emphasized concerns about Binance’s anti-money laundering protocols, sanctions, and compliance controls. The termination took place on 17th August.
