Shanghai plans to develop urban blockchain digital infrastructure system from 2023-2025. The plan aims to achieve Shanghai’s strategic goal of urban digital transformation, strengthening blockchain applications in economy, public service, and governance. The plan aims to create an industrial ecology with strong innovation momentum and nurture leading companies with industry influence.
When the urban blockchain digital infrastructure system is finished, it ought to enable local government operations, public services, and applications across a range of businesses.
The release claims that it will also facilitate the coordination of blockchain network resources in China’s Yangtze River Delta and establish a center for global blockchain exchange.
