Shibarium Blockchain, Ethereum Bridge Goes Live For Testing
The Shiba Inu layer 2 network is being prepared on a larger scale. The public testing of a bridge linking the future Shiba Inu layer 2 blockchain Shibarium and Ethereum has begun.
According to the developer team, the link would allow clients to seamlessly transfer tokens between the two networks.
Shiba Inu lead developer Shytoshi Kusama announced that a bridge will enable initial testnet ether token transfers to Shibarium, a layer 2 blockchain solution set to launch by August. The transaction transfer period is 30 minutes, but it will not support real assets as of July 28. Shibarium-Ethereum will use tokens from the Shiba Inu ecosystem, including Shib, Bone, Treat, and Leash, for projects that generate demand spikes.
