Bitkub,Thai Crypto Exchange Clinch $17.8m

Jirayut Srupsrisopa founded Bitkub, a thriving FinTech firm in Thailand’s bitcoin exchange scene, in 2018. The organisation has effectively established itself as a platform that allows customers to purchase, sell, and store cryptocurrency assets.

The recent regulatory filings indicate that Bitkub has agreed to offload a 9.22% stake of the company for a whopping $17.8m to Asphere Innovations, a local game publisher, according to a report from Tech in Asia.

Bitkub, a Thai FinTech company, has secured a $17.8m capital injection to strengthen its financial stability and continue operations in a turbulent market. With a license from Thailand’s Ministry of Finance in 2019, Bitkub offers a user-friendly platform for crypto enthusiasts to transact digital assets. The capital will help expand digital asset services throughout Thailand, benefiting from the digital asset boom, which saw over 6.2m people owning crypto in the country last year.
