Gemini and Apex Fintech Solutions have signed a letter of intent to expand access to regulated crypto prediction markets through Apex’s brokerage network. Under the proposed deal, Gemini Titan would become the exclusive regulated venue for crypto event contracts distributed through Apex’s Futures Commission Merchant.

The arrangement would allow Apex brokerage customers to access crypto prediction markets through Gemini without brokerages having to build their own connections to a prediction-market exchange. The deal is not yet final, as both companies still need to agree on the remaining terms.

The partnership brings together Apex’s brokerage infrastructure and Gemini’s regulated trading and clearing operations. If completed, participating brokerages could use Gemini for execution and clearing while offering crypto event contracts to their customers.

The exclusive arrangement applies to crypto event contracts offered through Apex’s FCM. Gemini and Apex may also explore other types of event contracts covering sports, economic data and financial markets, although those categories would not be covered by the same exclusivity arrangement.

Gemini has been building its prediction-market business as part of a broader push beyond traditional cryptocurrency trading. Gemini Titan received a Designated Contract Market licence from the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission in December 2025, allowing it to operate a federally regulated derivatives marketplace.

The company strengthened that regulatory setup in April when Gemini Olympus received a Derivatives Clearing Organization licence from the CFTC. That allows Gemini to handle clearing and settlement for Titan through its own regulated operations.

Prediction markets have become an increasingly important part of Gemini’s business. The company said more than 225 million event contracts had traded through Titan by the second quarter of 2026, with more than 27,000 cumulative traders.

Gemini CEO Tyler Winklevoss has described prediction markets as an important future opportunity for the company. Rather than relying on an outside provider, Gemini built its own platform after more than a decade of operating a regulated crypto business.

The proposed Apex partnership would give that platform a much wider distribution network. Apex provides technology and infrastructure to brokerage firms, meaning customers of participating brokers could potentially gain access to Gemini’s prediction markets without having to open a separate account or build a direct connection to Gemini.

The two companies already have an existing relationship. In July, Gemini launched commission-free stock trading for certain US customers, with Apex Clearing Corporation acting as the custodian and clearing broker.

For Apex’s brokerage clients, the proposed arrangement could make regulated crypto event contracts easier to offer. Instead of building the necessary trading and clearing infrastructure themselves, brokers could use the systems already provided through Apex and Gemini.

The agreement, however, remains a letter of intent rather than a completed partnership. That distinction is important because the final terms could still change before the service becomes available.

If the deal goes ahead, it would represent another step toward bringing prediction markets into mainstream brokerage platforms, while giving Gemini a new distribution channel for its regulated crypto event contracts.
