Yellow Card wants to expand its stablecoin infrastructure and its Global USD Accounts product. The company has collected $40 million in money. The people who helped include SC Ventures from Standard Chartered, Sony Innovation Fund, Polychain Capital, Blockchain Capital and other important investors. Now Yellow Card has than $120 million in money from investors.

The company started by focusing on Africa. It offers ways for people to turn money into and out of money. It also provides stablecoin payment systems for businesses. The startup calls itself an infrastructure for banks, fintechs and businesses. These businesses need to send money across borders manage money and handle payments, in currencies without using regular bank systems.

Yellow Card Focuses On Stablecoin Payments For Banks

Yellow Card is building payment tools that allow banks and businesses to use stablecoins instead of traditional international payment systems. CEO and co-founder Chris Maurice believes blockchain technology will change how banks send money around the world.

Maurice says that banks will soon be able to send payments to each other on blockchain networks. They will not have to depend on payment service providers or other middlemen. This is going to make transactions on blockchain networks faster. It will also make them cheaper and more efficient. Maurice thinks that blockchain networks will really change the way banks do business. Banks will be able to send payments to each other on blockchain networks. This will be very good, for everyone.

New Funding Will Support Global Expansion

Yellow Card plans to use the fresh capital to expand its Global USD Accounts, a product that allows businesses to hold U.S. dollars and manage stablecoins in one place.

Businesses using the platform can:

  • Hold U.S. dollars
  • Store and swap stablecoins
  • Manage treasury operations
  • Send and receive local currencies through domestic payment networks

Yellow Card also plans to add more local payment options and expand into Latin America and the Asia-Pacific region.

Growing Demand From Banks

Chris Maurice said Yellow Card has traditionally served both businesses and financial institutions. However, demand from banks has been growing much faster as more large institutions begin using stablecoins for cross-border payments and treasury management. The company believes this trend will continue as financial institutions look for faster ways to move money globally.

Strong Presence Across Africa

Yellow Card began its adventure in Africa, where it established businesses in various regulatory markets. The business has grown throughout time, obtaining licenses, permits, or registrations in 22 different jurisdictions.

Yellow Card claims to have completed over $10 billion in transactions since its launch, demonstrating the high demand for its payment services in developing nations.
