Trump Media and Technology Group has reduced its Bitcoin holdings in the second quarter as falling crypto prices contributed to $360.6 million in losses in the first half of the year. The parent company of Truth Social held 9,477.16 BTC worth $557.1 million as of June 30, down from 9,542.16 BTC at the end of March. That means its Bitcoin holdings fell by 65 BTC during the quarter. The decline came as Trump Media also faced a sharp fall in the value of its other major crypto holding, Cronos.
According to the company’s quarterly filing on Monday, Trump Media’s holdings of Cronos (CRO) remained unchanged at about 756.1 million tokens. However, their fair value dropped to $40.6 million, compared with $68 million at the end of 2025.
A large portion of Trump Media’s Bitcoin was also tied up as collateral. As of June 30, the company had pledged 4,260.73 BTC against convertible notes. Another 2,077.34 BTC had been pledged for its Bitcoin options strategy. This means a significant share of its Bitcoin holdings was committed to financial arrangements rather than being freely available to the company.
The Donald J. Trump Revocable Trust has a majority stake in Trump Media. The trust is controlled by Trumps’ son, Donald Trump Jr.
The latest results come shortly after Trump Media scaled back some of its cryptocurrency plans. On Friday, Trump Media, Crypto.com and Yorkville Acquisition announced that they had mutually ended their proposed business combination. The deal was intended to create Trump Media Group CRO Strategy, a publicly traded company that would build a large treasury of Cronos tokens.
The companies cited prevailing market conditions as well as changing business and stakeholder priorities for the decision. They also ended a separate partnership under which Crypto.com was expected to provide services for certain Yorkville America exchange-traded funds.
Yorkville America said its existing and future ETF plans would otherwise continue unchanged.
