Stripe has added Samsung Pay support to its Crypto Onramp tools for Android, giving users another way to pay for digital assets through applications built with React Native. The feature was introduced in Stripe’s React Native SDK version 0.75.0, released on August 18, 2026.
The update allows developers to offer Samsung Pay within supported Crypto Onramp flows, subject to availability on the user’s device and payment setup. Stripe’s Crypto Onramp lets users buy cryptocurrencies directly inside third-party applications.
The Samsung Pay integration includes several components designed to make the payment option easier for developers to add. These include configuration tools, availability checks, payment-method collection and an example implementation.
The availability check is particularly useful because Samsung Pay is not supported on every Android device or in every customer setup. Developers can first check whether the payment method is available and then present the option to the user before starting the payment process.

Stripe introduced Crypto Onramp in 2022 as an embeddable fiat-to-crypto purchasing service for wallets, decentralized applications and other Web3 products. Instead of sending users to a separate exchange or payment website, applications can integrate the purchasing process directly into their own interfaces.
Stripe handles the payment and crypto purchasing process, while developers incorporate the service into their applications. The company supports multiple digital assets and blockchain networks, with crypto settlement taking place after a successful fiat payment.
Before Samsung Pay was added, Stripe listed credit cards, debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, instant ACH and regular ACH among its preferred Crypto Onramp payment methods. The company’s main product page had not yet added Samsung Pay to that public list when reviewed on September 21, although the React Native changelog confirms the Android functionality.
The Samsung Pay feature is specifically documented for Android. Stripe’s release notes do not describe it as an iOS option, which is consistent with Samsung Pay’s use on supported Android devices.

The React Native SDK has continued to receive updates since version 0.75.0. Version 0.76.0, released on September 1, added an option allowing Crypto Onramp users to delete a registered wallet address from their current Link account.
Version 0.77.0 followed on September 16 and added more identity-document fields while also fixing an Android issue that could affect Crypto Onramp presentation after an Android Activity was recreated.
The most recent changes occur as Stripe keeps growing its operations in the field of digital assets. After paying around $1.1 billion to purchase stablecoin infrastructure startup Bridge, the business has now branched out into stablecoin issuance, payments, and bank account services.
In 2025, Stripe introduced Stablecoin Financial Accounts in over 100 countries, enabling companies to transmit digital dollars and maintain stablecoin balances via its infrastructure.
Through further collaborations and offerings, the business has also increased its blockchain and payment operations. However, Samsung Pay is a more particular update for Android developers: Stripe’s Crypto Onramp integration now offers another well-known payment method.
