Square Enix Moves Deeper Into Web3 Gaming

Square Enix, a leading Japanese game publisher, has announced a strategic partnership with PC gaming platform Elixir to explore blockchain technology and Web3 gaming.

The alliance aims to make it easier for both companies to carry out long-term plans, allowing them to push the boundaries of their traditional offerings. According to the official announcement, this strategic partnership is intended to drive the adoption of Web3 games among mainstream gamers.

Although the details of the partnership have yet to be revealed, Square Enix is expected to capitalise on Elixir’s prior successes in the Web3 gaming sector. Elixir integrated the Epic Games Store into its platform earlier this year, with the goal of uniting traditional and blockchain-based games under a single umbrella.
