Solana Wallet Phantom Acquires a16z-Backed Bitski Wallet Platform

Phantom, the top crypto wallet in the Solana ecosystem, has acquired Bitski, a wallet-as-a-service platform backed by high-profile investors like Andreessen Horowitz and Galaxy Digital. The deal has been completed with no pending approvals, and Bitski’s team will join Phantom’s current team of over 80 people.

Bitski has raised at least $25.5 million in funding, with other top investors including Coinbase Ventures, Winklevoss Capital, Kindred Ventures, Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter, and Serena Williams. Phantom has raised a total of $118 million in funding to date.

The company plans to bring embedded wallets to Solana for an easy onboarding experience, similar to web2. With over 7 million monthly active users, Phantom is one of the most widely used Solana wallets.
