- Polygon Labs integrated its Open Money Stack payments infrastructure with Solana on October 29, 2026, enabling Solana-based businesses to access bank funding, embedded customer wallets, and cross-chain payouts through a single connection
- Cross-border payments firm Kira is among the first users, using Solana for stablecoin transfers and Polygon’s banking connections to settle supplier payments in dollars
- Solana has transferred $5.7 trillion worth of stablecoins so far in 2026; Polygon has processed more than $3 trillion worth of transfers overall since its launch; Open Money Stack facilitates money transfer through Ethereum, TRON, and other EVM-compliant networks
- This partnership represents a step from competition to collaboration Previously, in 2023, Polygon had spent $3 million to bring two NFT collections from Solana to their platform as part of competitive strategy; Polygon has acquired US crypto payments company Coinme recently and integrated TRON in Open Money Stack
What Open Money Stack Brings To Solana
Polygon Labs announced that its Open Money Stack payments network was integrated into the Solana blockchain platform on October 29, 2026. Businesses operating on Solana will be able to make use of bank transfers, card payments, digital wallet systems, and cross-chain assets via one integration point.

The businesses will be able to transfer stablecoin balance into their bank accounts. Cross-border payments firm Kira is among the first users: it uses Solana for stablecoin transfers and Polygon’s banking connections to settle supplier payments in dollars.
Cross-chain Routing & Payout Options
Open Money Stack allows users to move funds across Solana, Polygon, Ethereum, TRON, and a range of EVM compatible blockchains. Users can automatically convert and execute transactions.
Since its launch, Solana has handled a total of $5.7 trillion in stablecoin transfers in 2026 to date; Polygon has processed over $3 trillion in transfers. Polygon recently added TRON support to Open Money Stack and acquired Coinme, a US-based crypto payments company, as part of its expansion in the payments vertical.
From Rivals To Partners
The partnership is notable for the shift it represents. In 2022 Sandeep Nailwal, one of the co-founders of Polygon, spoke out against claims regarding how many users Solana had. However, in 2023 Polygon paid $3 million to transfer two Solana based NFT projects DeGods and y00ts onto their network.

This was seen as a clear competitive move. Polygon’s Aishwary Gupta said the two networks now see an advantage in working together as traditional financial institutions enter the stablecoin space, noting that banks want to connect to multiple blockchains without rebuilding separate infrastructure for each. Solana’s Jamal Raees said the partnership addresses exactly that need.
