Crypto exchange OKX has raised fresh capital at a $25 billion valuation, with investments from Circle, Ripple, Standard Chartered’s SC Ventures and Qube Research & Technologies (QRT).
The exact amount raised has not been disclosed. The funding comes as OKX expands its infrastructure and pushes further into the US market. Its native token, OKB, jumped sharply after news of the funding, briefly approaching $142 before giving up some gains.
A Bloomberg report says, following the latest funding round OKX’s valuation remains at the same $25 billion level reached after an earlier round in March. That round included an investment of about $200 million from Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), the parent company of the New York Stock Exchange.
OKX said the new funds are going to support its plans for long-term infrastructure and expansion. The timing is noteworthy because the exchange is also moving into tokenized stocks, an area that is attracting growing interest from traditional financial institutions and crypto companies.
We’re announcing a strategic investment from @Circle, QRT, @Ripple and SC Ventures by @StanChart at a $25 Billion pre-money valuation.
This is how we’re aligning critical builders behind our vision for the next generation of onchain markets.

The OKX-ICE joint venture has filed to offer tokenized trading in shares of up to 63 NYSE-listed companies initially. The plan is linked to the US Securities and Exchange Commission’s Innovation Exemption framework, which could allow certain new financial products to be tested under a more flexible regulatory approach.
OKX is not the only company exploring tokenized stocks. Platforms such as Ondo Finance already offer tokenized stocks and exchange-traded funds, although these products have largely been aimed at customers outside the US.
The funding news also gave a boost to OKB. The latest development also fits into OKX’s broader US expansion strategy. Earlier this year, the exchange appointed former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo to its board. Cuomo is also co-chair of the OKX-ICE joint venture, highlighting the company’s growing focus on the US financial market.
